Thank you so much for visiting my web page. It is here to help you and I am here to help you. My name is Kevin Alvord and I have been around the financial industry for many years. My father Jack worked in many different capacities at US Bank in Portland, OR for over 30 years. Growing up I was privy to all sorts of discussions on personal finances whether it was about investing, buying a home or anything in between.

Eventually, after graduating from Oregon State University, I became a high school teacher where my main focus was on government / economics. My singular goal as an economics teacher was to coach young people up on the subject of personal finance. During this time period I was also a self taught investor – something that I became very good at and which allowed me to understand the economy from both a micro and macro sense. I have also bought and sold 4 homes of my own.

Naturally, after teaching I jumped into the financial industry myself – becoming a loan officer for Landmark Professional Mortgage based out of Salem, OR. We are a mid-sized but very strong and agile company that provides impeccable service to our clients. We are not a big stuffy bank that makes you feel like a “little guy” consumer – we make you feel important, which you are.

This career is a natural fit for me…I love being in the financial industry and I love helping people – especially helping people buy a new home.
